It’s our Birthday!
The Floral Boutique celebrates 20 wonderful years

Twenty years.

It's a number that feels almost impossible to say out loud.

When I opened the door in 2006, I could never have imagined that twenty years later I'd still be doing what I love, surrounded by the most wonderful customers, creating flowers for so many of life's special moments.

What began with a passion for flowers and creativity has become something so much more.

Over the last two decades, I've had the privilege of sharing stories with so many families on our island and beyond.

I've designed wedding flowers for couples beginning their married lives together. I've created bouquets to celebrate new babies, birthdays, anniversaries and all of life’s achievements. I've also been trusted to create farewell tributes that express love when we can’t find the words.

For many, I've been your florist through every chapter of life. Seen some amazing highs, and very sad lows and flowers have helped us all along the way.

That is something I never take for granted.

Twenty Years of Change

The world of floristry has changed enormously since 2006.

Social media didn't shape trends in quite the same way, we collected magazine pages from Vogue and Country Living.
Online ordering was still finding its feet, and few people imagined how much shopping would change over the years.

Styles have evolved too.

From traditional arrangements to today's relaxed, floaty garden-inspired designs, every season brings new inspiration. Along the way we've embraced more sustainable floristry, introduced eco-friendly funeral tributes, expanded our wedding work and continued to find ways to make every bouquet feel personal.

But while many things have changed over the years, one thing never has.

Flowers still have the power to make people smile. They bring softness and joy.

Whether it's a surprise delivery, a wedding morning, a birthday celebration or simply letting someone know they're being thought of, flowers continue to speak a language that everyone understands.

The Best Part Has Always Been the People

Running a small independent florist isn't just about flowers.

It's about relationships.

Many of our customers have been with us for years. I remember our first customer Mr & Mrs G - and they still order flowers with me now and we always reminisce about them being my first customer! We've watched families grow, celebrated milestones together and, in many cases, now create flowers for the next generation.

There's something incredibly special about seeing familiar faces at the studio, chatting at Ingrams Yard Market or receiving photographs of flowers proudly displayed in someone's home.

Those moments mean far more than you probably realise.
